The AEROSTRIP ® diffuser has been designed as a fine bubble diffuser device with a very low energy demand. AEROSTRIP® can be safely used both for municipal and industrial sewage treatment worldwide. The materials used for the construction of the AEROSTRIP ® diffuser are resistant to all agents which can be found in sewage, in accordance with German regulations ATV A115 - Appendix 1.
The secret lies in the membrane because the size of bubbles is of vital importance. Fine air bubbles have a large surface area, which along with excellent bubbles distribution ensure a better transfer of oxygen compared to traditional diffusers. That is why the supply of the same amount of oxygen requires less airflow, and consequently we can often use a smaller (that means cheaper and energy efficient) blower. The Aerzen philosophy perfectly fits this concept. This company, which equips sewage treatment plants with blowers and aeration compressors, is guided by the principle of the lowest energy consumption and the highest oxygen transfer. These outstanding qualities of AEROSTRIP ® diffusers have been confirmed by numerous measurements carried out by universities, public authorities and independent research institutes. Details are available on request.
Excellent parameters of AEROSTRIP ® diffusers are achieved not only during tests in clean water, but also in practical operation with sewage. Tests showed the so-called alpha-value of ~0.8. The values of energy required to remove BZT5 would have more relevance from the practical point of view. Heavy loaded sewage treatment plants equipped with AEROSTRIP ® require less than 0.3 kWh to reduce 1 kg of BZT5.
An innovative mounting concept of diffusors saves installation time and consequently, it reduces the total installation cost. A new mounting latch provides a considerable reduction of the diffuser installation time. It can be used for installation directly at the bottom of the tank as well as on mounting structures or guides.
