My path started with the apprenticeship as metalworker and industrial engineering studies in the field of mechanical engineering with the focus on “organisation and process management and technical sales”. I prepared a business plan as diploma thesis for a mechanical engineering company. A new business division was created, while using aspects of Lean. The subsequent implementation of the project and my focus of activities in the marketing/sales division and project management were my springboard to AERZEN. As Young Professional I started here in the factory within the junior engineer programme.
In the field of production planning, my job is very varied. I work on procurement and sales projects of machine tools, the assembly planning, but also process issues, such as the material master support as per SAP introduction and Machinery Directives. At present, I have started as partial project manager on the issue of “Lean logistics”.
The change due to the 150th anniversary and the combined dynamism certainly leave their marks. The new brand “AERZEN”, the vision 2022, AERZEN PERFORMANCE are examples, showing us in what direction we are moving, heading towards our goal in 2022.
My motivation is high and has not changed since I started working at AERZEN. People keep telling me due to my optimistic attitude: “You will come up against a brick wall”. So far I have not come up against a brick wall. With a positive attitude and stamina almost any challenge can be mastered. I really enjoy working here. It is great that everybody may take over responsibility and may bring in his ideas.
Due to the temporal changes, the requirements of a production planner become more and more the requirements of an all-rounder. I might gain specialised knowledge in the field of production & logistics or even assume a leading role. In any case, there are enough possibilities available here. It is important for me to work at a company that offers me enough opportunities for personal development.
